호주한인복지회는 호주의 한인 단체중에서 호주내 한인들의 복지를 전문적으로 담당하는 유일한 단체입니다.
설립초기인 1979 년부터 호주한인복지회는 한인 신규 이민자들의 호주 이민정착을 돕는데 주력하였습니다. 현재는 그 서비스가 연로하신 어른들을 위한 데이케어 서비스, 소셜 써포트 그룹, 취학전 아동교육, 학교 방과후의 특별학습지도는 물론 복지문화센터운영에 이르기까지 확대되었습니다. 이와 더불어 최근에는 호주의 복지전문가로서 한국의 정부, 지방자치정부, 각 대학교 및 사회복지단체들에게 도움이될 정보를 제공하고 강연을 하는 분야로도 활동범위를 넓혀왔습니다. 또한 한인사회를 위해 기부하고자 하시는 분들께 세금공제혜택을 줄 수 있는 한인단체 중 유일한 자선 단체입니다.
호주한인복지회는이런 서비스들을 통하여 한인 이민자들이 호주 다문화 사회에 잘 통합되어 참된 호주 시민으로서 행복하고 품격있는 이민생활을 할 수 있도록 도와드리는것을 목적으로 하고 있습니다.

Welcome to the Australian Korean Welfare Association homepage!
AKWA is a unique welfare organisation within the Korean community in Australia. Since its inauguration in 1979, AKWA has been helping new Korean migrants to settle into Australia. Nowadays, its work has grown and expanded to include providing services in Korean aged care, social support groups, little learner's group, and after school care, as well as a welfare cultural centre. Further, we have extended our services beyond Korean migrants in Australia to work with Korean local governments, universities and other social organisations in Korea.
AKWA aims to assist Korean migrants to integrate into Australian multicultural society, and to live a full and dignified life as true Korean-Australians in harmony with other ethnic communities present in Australia.
